Description
The Central Florida Branch (District V) includes the agencies, companies and individuals located in Brevard, Lake, Orange, Osceola, Seminole and Volusia counties.
The Central Florida Branch has been a leader in the Florida Chapter organization for many years. Its success has been attributable to several bed rock characteristics that have survived each leadership team and has been passed on year to year and member to member. A key source for core members providing leadership and being a part of the Branch operations has been local government employees and officials. Many faithful members have over the years have often referred to the membership as family. One significant part of the glue that binds the organization is the long-term commitment members make to the organization and long-term friendships that are established. Once you attend a meeting or two and make some acquaintances, you are most likely hooked as a new member.
The Branch has long had a tradition of granting scholarships each year. Hundreds of scholarships have been awarded. This reflects the partnership the governmental officials have with the associate members. All scholarships are funded through consultant and vendor sponsorships. This formula of loyal members in the Branch participating year after year enables professionals to make a similar long-term commitment to the organization and financially supporting the Branch’s efforts and programs through sponsorships. As a result, the members become a part of the ongoing support group and committed members making things happen and advancing Branch programs.
