Arnesa’s relationship with APWA began through her professional career supporting the organization’s conferences, events, and programs. For approximately 14 years, she worked closely with public works professionals, municipalities, consultants, vendors, and industry partners throughout Florida. This experience provided her with a unique understanding of APWA, its members, and its mission and ultimately led her from professionally supporting the organization to becoming an active volunteer and Chapter leader.

In these roles, she works closely with executive leadership to coordinate strategic priorities, business operations, resource planning, client development, business development initiatives, and collaboration among leadership, technical teams, and offices throughout Florida. She also continues to support Tampa office operations, employee engagement, client relationships, and the firm’s continued growth.

Her APWA leadership has grown through service at both the branch and state levels. She has served the APWA Florida West Coast Branch in numerous leadership roles, including Board Member, Secretary, Treasurer, and Vice Chair, and will serve as Chair for the 2027-2028 term. At the state level, she has served on the APWA Florida Chapter Executive Committee and held roles including Marketing Chair and Website and Historian Co-Chair. In 2026, Arnesa began serving as Treasurer of the APWA Florida Chapter, overseeing the Chapter’s financial activities and supporting its programs, branches, and continued success.

Her service to APWA has been recognized with several honors, including the 2023 APWA Florida Chapter Meritorious Award, 2023 APWA Florida West Coast Branch Community Involvement Award, 2024 APWA Florida West Coast Branch Meritorious Service Award, and 2024 APWA Florida Chapter President’s Award.

Beyond APWA, Arnesa is actively involved with the American Society of Highway Engineers (ASHE) Tampa Bay, where she serves as Treasurer and has held leadership roles supporting chapter activities and major industry events. She has also played a significant role as Chair in organizing and supporting the Tampa Bay Transportation Supersession, one of the region’s largest transportation industry networking events.
