Public Works Director for the City of Hollywood
Joseph has over 30 years of experience in the field of public works, including 25 years as a director. Joseph holds a master’s degree in public administration and a CFM (Certified Floodplain Manager) certification. He began his career with the Navy as an EA with the Seabees (the public works arm of the Navy) and transitioned from there to the public sector, never looking back.
Joseph actively promotes the APWA with every contractor that works in his city, explaining the benefits of being part of this organization. He has always been passionate about the role that public works plays in storm events and has advocated for the First Responders designation both internally and statewide for many years. Joseph has been involved with the APWA branches for many years, serving as chairman of the Gold Coast and South Florida Branches, as well as District Representative and is now Vice President of the Florida Chapter. He is excited for this opportunity and looks forward to moving the chapter forward.
