Lee Ann Luhrs has worked in the City of Margate Public Works Department since 2008. She started as an office specialist and, through her tenure, has worked through several administrative positions to her current role of Office Manager. Lee Ann is responsible for the department's administrative functions and providing support for five operating divisions, including Administration, Buildings, Garage, Roads, and Stormwater Utility. 

Lee Ann started in APWA as a volunteer at branch events and became a member of the South Florida Branch in 2012. She was nominated for and received educational scholarships at the branch and chapter levels.

In 2017, Lee Ann earned a Bachelor of Applied Science Degree in Management and Supervision from Broward College and her Master of Public Administration from Barry University in 2022. In addition to earning her educational degrees, Lee Ann has also graduated from the Florida Chapter Public Works Institute at Indian River State College and APWA's Emerging Leaders Academy. Lee Ann is a Certified Stormwater Inspector, Certified Erosion and Sedimentation Control Inspector, and Certified Public Works Professional - Supervisor.

Lee Ann has remained an active member of the South Florida Branch and has served in numerous leadership roles at the branch and chapter levels. She served on the Board of Directors as Branch Treasurer and later as Branch Chairman. Lee Ann currently serves as Florida Chapter Treasurer and is a member of the Florida Public Works Expo Steering Committee and the Florida Chapter Scholarship Trust.
