Celebrate National Public Works Week with Your Community!

For National Public Works Week, many states, provinces, cities/towns, and municipalities from across North America come together to celebrate with official government proclamations and resolutions in honor of the contribution public works makes to their communities: in planning, building, managing, and operating the heart of our local communities and in advancing the quality of life for all.

It can take 30 to 45 days for a proclamation to work its way through the review, approval, and signing process, so we encourage you to get started by April 1, if possible.

Once you receive a proclamation, share it with the rest of the public works community by posting a picture of your proclamation with the hashtags #NPWW and #NPWWProclamation to LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, or X. You may also upload and share your pictures directly with APWA for use in our NPWW social posts! When adding them, please create a folder with your agency/organization name so we can easily identify who is sharing the photos. Or email them to marketing@apwa.org.
