Florida American Public Works Association (APWA) Leadership Institute Module 1: Supervision & Workplace Skills
This three-day, in-person 30-hour training module lays the foundation for management and supervisory skills necessary to create a more harmonious, functional, and productive workplace within the public works arena. Participants will learn the difference between leadership and management, effective communication techniques, how to motivate employees, and the fundamentals of project management. This module represents the first 30 hours of the full 90-hour Florida APWA Leadership Institute however, modules do NOT have to be taken in consecutive order.
